President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. invited Korean businesses to invest in the Philippines, emphasizing ongoing government reforms to enhance the business environment. Marcos assured Korean investors of the Philippine government's commitment to supporting their investments.

 

The focus is on accelerating policy reforms to improve the overall business climate in the Philippines and the aim is to position the Philippines as a leading destination for sustainable investments.

 

The country's strategic location and participation in international agreements like the ASEAN-Korea and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements are highlighted. Moreover, the ratified Philippines-Korea Free Trade Agreement aims to reduce tariffs on key products, enhancing trade relations.

 

Such key sectors for cooperation identified include electric vehicles, mineral processing, pharmaceuticals, and creative industries. The President also emphasized the significance of the cultural and personal connections between the peoples of the Philippines and Korea in strengthening bilateral relations
